About the Collection

Annals of Microbiology is calling for submissions to our Collection on 'Microbial Bioremediation and Environmental Sustainability.' This Collection aims to highlight how microbial bioremediation can be integrated into broader environmental management practices, contributing significantly to global sustainability goals.

Microbial bioremediation harnesses the natural capabilities of microorganisms to degrade, detoxify, or transform pollutants, offering a sustainable solution for environmental restoration. This Collection explores a broad spectrum of topics, including biochemical mechanisms of microbial degradation, advances in genetic and synthetic biology to enhance microbial efficacy, and real-world applications in various contaminated environments. It also addresses the interactions within microbial communities, development of innovative technologies, and long-term sustainability and ecological impact of these strategies.
