Geochemical Transactions is calling for submissions to our Collection on Geochemistry of Water Resources. Globally, in the present scenario, water resources are vital for the existence of all living beings as well as the development of the country. Geogenic, anthropogenic, and climate factors are responsible for water quality deterioration and depletion worldwide. The Sustainable Development Goals (6, 2022) aim to increase the global population's safe drinking water supply percentage by 2030. Therefore, understanding geochemical processes and sources of contaminants using water quality data play a vital role in the sustainable and effective management of water resources. Geochemical approaches are a powerful tool for studying changes in water resources. Thus, the present Collection calls for Water Resources Geochemistry, specifically focusing on the geogenic and anthropogenic processes changing the water resources chemistry.
This Collection supports and amplifies research related to SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation.
